Shrimp Garlic

Ciao Dubai! It’s weekend! 😊
Tonight I will have a ladies dinner, so I decided to have lunch at home while trying my new recipe “Shrimp Garlic”. You could eat it with warm white rice / butter rice.

This recipe is simple!
For people who fast today, let’s surprise your loved ones by cooking this for Iftar/ Breakfasting later.

Bahan :
Udang kupas
Daun curry
Bubuk ketumbar 1 sdm
Garam 1 1/2 sdt
Merica bubuk 1/2 sdt
Lemon 1/2
Bread Crumbs 2 sdm
Bawang putih 7pcs
Sun Oil
Butter 1sdt

Cara memasak :
– Marinate udang dengan perasan lemon, bawang putih yang dihaluskan, ketumbar, garam halus, daun curry, dan merica. Diamkan 30 menit
– Panaskan oil & masukkan butter diatas pan, kemudian masukan udang, masak 3/4 matang kemudian tiriskan. Letakkan ke dalam mangkok dan masukkan Bread Crumps, aduk hingga tercampur rata.
– Panaskan oil di pan yang lain, masukkan garlic yang sudah diiris iris, kemudian tiriskan
– Kurangi oil dari pan yang untuk memasak garlic hingga hanya 1 sdm, kemudian masukkan udang dan garlic yang ditiriskan. Masak hingga matang.

A dinner to remember – Jean Georges, Dubai

Hello from Dubai city!
It’s been ages since I moved here and I haven’t taken the time recently to write and update this Blog. It’s been really busy with the new job and settling down at the same time enjoying this city a lot.
The city is great! It’s easy to adjust here, and many happy people.

Last night I got invited by my friend Ochi, who lives in New York at her father in law’s restaurant “Jean Georges” that just opened in Dubai at Four Season Jumeirah. He’s really a great Michelin Star Chef and the food was amazing! Words can’t describe!

Merci beaucoup à Jean George, Cedric et mon amie Ochi pour leur invitation. The dinner was fantastic.
One of my favorite starter was an amazing Smoked Salmon on Fried Sushi Rice, it just melted in your mouth. It continued with a tasty and a bit Spicy Scallop, then a juicy Sea Bass and Black Truffle Pizza for main course. It closed with a dazzling Chocolate Cake and Ice Cream with Pop Corn & Caramel Sauce. Super!

Ce fut un dîner somptueux, plein de surprises, une sélection de ses meilleurs plats de son restaurant à New-York. I will definitely come back. It was a delightful dining experience one to be remembered forever!! It completed my weekend 🙂 Thank you!

Cooking With Love – Making Tiramisu at Wall Street KK

          Hi bloggerss… Today I got invited to be the Guest Chef at Wall Street Institute at Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. So happy when I found out they named the event “Cooking with Love”… It was a really lovely afternoon. I presented how to make a homemade Tiramisu. They were all really enthusiastic. After it followed with games, they divided to be in 6 groups, and had to explain all the ingredients that I have explained before, and also be creative to customize a tiramisu with other ingredients.
It was really fun, I really had a great time. Thank you Wall Street KK!

Baked Lamb Shank with Mint Sauce

Hi Lamb Shank lovers!

During my last holiday, I cooked a very special dish “Baked Lamb Shank with Mint Sauce”… It’s juicy,tasty, and amazing! Two plates are even not enough for me! It’s forbidden to think about diet on your holiday right?!😉

It took a long time to cook but it’s all worth it! In my country, Indonesia, some dishes we eat, we eat by hand without fork or spoon, so I decided my fingers had to taste this as well. This dish is so good for lunch, dinner, when you are in love or even broken hearted!😊

People say: “Happiness comes from our inner selfs”. Be creative and be proud with yourself !

Selamat berbuka puasa …imageimage

Bahan :
– Lamb Shank
– White wine (2 glasses)
– Springs Rosemary (6 pcs)
– Onion ( 1 pc)
– Olive Oil ( 3 tbs)
– Sea salt & Pepper ( secukupnya)
– Fresh Thyme (2 pcs)
– Garlic ( 10 pcs)
– Carrots ( 2 pcs)
– Sage leaves fresh (10 pcs)

Cara memasak :
– Masukkan ke dalam blander : Cold butter, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage , and Salt & Pepper. Buat lubang kecil / potong sedikit antara daging lamb shank dan tulang kemudian masukkan campuran yg sudah di blander . Lamb shank menjadi tasty.
– Iris garlic dan masukkan dilubang / sela antara daging dan tulang
– Marinated lamb shank dengan Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper. Kemudian taburi Sage & Rosemary diatasnya.
– Potong Aluminum foil sebesar A3.
– Letakkan Lamb Shank diatas Aluminum foil dan beri white wine disekitarnya dan Onion yang sudah diiris dan juga carrots, kemudian bungkus menjadi persegi 4
– Masukkan ke dalam oven selama 2 jam / sampai empuk.

Mint Sauce

Bahan :
– Mint leaves ( 10-15 pcs)
– White sugar (2 tbs)
– Red Wine vinegar (secukupnya)

Cara membuat:
– Iris daun mint dan masukkan ke dalam mangkok
– Masukkan red wine vinegar dan white sugar
– Tambahkan fresh chili jika suka
– Diamkan 20 menit

Hidangkan Lamb Shank dengan Mint Sauce, dan Basmati Rice

Crispy Fish Sandwich with homemade Tartar Sauce

During my holiday I spent a lot of time enjoying Portugese Foods, I love it! So many restaurants in Lisbon, Sintra and Lagos that have very nice ambiances, good foods and nice local people.

Usually I spent my dinners at the restaurants and in the afternoon I enjoy my homemade cooking. Since I have planned to go around the city of Lagos, I prefered to cook something simple and fast.

I never get bored eating fish and seafood, and today I craved eating fish sandwich.

It’s so lovely and tasty!

Enjoy the spring time ladies !

Bahan :

– Bun

– Pangasius Fillet

– Flour ( secukupnya)

– Parmesan Chesse (secukupnya)

– Salt & Pepper (secukupnya)

– Lemon (1 pc)

– Paprika bubuk

– Rocket Salad

Tartare Sauce :

– pickels (6pcs)

– capers (1 tbs)

– lettuce (1 pc, yang kecil)

– fat-free natural yoghurt (250 gr)

– Fresh parsley

– Lemon (1 pc)

– Paprika bubuk

Cara membuat :

– Masukkan Bun kedalam oven (150 degrees C). Setelah selesai dipanggang, kemudian potong bun (tengah- tengahnya) menjadi terbelah 2

– Marinate Pangasius Fish dengan Salt, Pepper, Paprika bubuk dan perasan jeruk lemon. Kemudian taburi dengan Flour hingga rata.

– Masukkan oil kedalam pan, kemudian masukkan Pangasius Fish, taburi Parmesan Cheese di satu sisi, dan goreng hingga matang. Kemudian tiriskan.

– Oleskan Tartare Sauce diatas Bun, letakkan Pangasius Fish, kemudian Tartare sauce, dan Rocket Salad paling atas.

Hidangkan dengan French fries…

Tiger Prawn with Garlic Butter Sauce & with Herbs Basmati Rice

It’s a lovely sunny day in Lagos, people are spending much time all day mostly at the beach, sun bathing, swimming, reading a book, going around with a boat and enjoying the beautiful view on the beaches here.

This afternoon before I will join the Portuguese people at Dona Ana beach (one of the most beautiful beaches in here), I would like to cook one of the favorite dishes here “Tiger Prawn with Garlic Butter Sauce and with Herbs Basmati Rice”. It’s simple, easy, and seriously super delicious. To make it perfect, I combined it with homemade Caesar Salad.

Bahan :
– Tiger Prawn
– Salt & Pepper (secukupnya)
– Olive Oil (secukupnya)
– Fresh Basil (6-8 pcs)
– Lemon ( 1 pc)

Cara membuat:
– Panaskan oven hingga 200 degrees C
– Belah badan Tiger Prawn menjadi 2, kepala jangan dibelah dan kulit jangan dikupas, kemudian bersihkan
– Peras buah lemon diatas Tiger Prawn.
– Letakkan Tiger Prawn kedalam pyrex, kemudian taburi Salt & Pepper secukupnya, dan juga Fresh Basil
– Taburi Olive Oil secukupnya
– Masukkan pyrex kedalam oven, masak hingga matang, tetapi jangan terlalu matang. Agar Prawn tidak overcooked/ kering
– Setelah matang, angkat Tiger Prawn dan letakkan diatas piring ceper. Sauce Tiger Prawn yang ada didalam pyrex jangan dibuang, letakkan kedalam mangkuk kecil (untuk campuran Garlic & Butter Sauce)

Garlic Butter Sauce :

Bahan:
– Olive Oil (secukupnya)
– Butter (1 teaspoon)
– Paprika bubuk (secukupnya)
– Garlic (1 pc)
– Basil bubuk (1/4 teaspoon)

Cara membuat :
– Masukkan Olive Oil kedalam pan, masukkan chopped Garlic dan aduk hingga 3/4 matang
– Masak sebentar, jangan sampai garlic menjadi kering, kemudian masukkan kedalam mangkuk.
– Masukkan butter, Paprika bubuk, dan Basil bubuk kedalam mangkuk yang berisi Olive Oil & Garlic, dan juga sauce Tiger Prawn, aduk hingga rata.
– Taburi sauce diatas Tiger Prawn

Basmati Rice :
– Masak basmati rice, bisa dicampur dengan Basil bubuk / Fresh Parsley yang sudah dipotong keci kecil.

Breakfast at Priscilla’s

Good morning friends, it’s weekend! Yaaayy!

Thank you for my friends that always have been supporting my cooking hobby and always make me want to invent a new recipe and keep on writing…
This morning I wanted to treat myself with my special breakfast recipe. My first time to make this, and I loved it!
Surprise yourself or your loved ones for a Saturday or Sunday breakfast…

Bahan :

– Egg (2pcs)
– Smoked beef/ Ham/ Salami (3 pcs)
– Salt & Pepper
– Hollandaise sauce
– French toast / Baguette
– Basil bubuk

Bahan- bahan untuk Hollandaise sauce :
– 3 kuning telur (see how to separate eggs)
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (sesuai selera)
– 10 tablespoons unsalted butter (kalau menggunakan salted butter, jangan menggunakan garam)

Cara membuat Hollandaise Sauce:

– Melt the butter pelan pelan didalam pot. Tetapi jangan direbus, karena kita memerlukan moisture dari butter tersebut.

– Masukkan Kuning telur, lemon juice, salt dan cayenne ke dalam blander. Blend to medium high speed sampai ada warnanya, sekitar20-30 detik.

– Sampai terlihat berwarna, turunkan 1 level speed dari blender tersebut dan pelan pelan masukkan butter yang tadi dimasak, sampai tercampur rata.

– Matikkan blender kemudian rasakan sauce nya. Apabila kurang asin atau kurang rasa lemonnya, bisa ditambahkan sedikit. Jangan terlalu asin. Bisa ditambahkan sedikit air hangat. Kemudian campur hingga rata.

Selanjutnya :
– Masukkan ke dalam oven Baguette / bisa menggunakan French toast ( sesuai selera)
– Masak telur ( Sunny side up), setengah matang. Tambahkan dengan Salt & Pepper
– Siapkan Hollandaise sauce
– Masak Bacon/ Smoked beef/ Salami ke atas pan yang lain (without oil), sekitar 10 detik bolak balik kemudian angkat
– Letakkan diatas piring ceper, Baguette / French toast, kemudian Salami/ Smoked beef / Ham , Sunny side up, kemudian taburi diatasnya dengan Hollandaise sauce. Taburi sedikit dengan Basil bubuk.

For salad and chili lovers, we can’t say NO to Thai Beef Salad.. It’s a fresh, juicy, tasty, and delicious salad…

If you don’t feel like going out to a Thai restaurant, why don’t you make it in your own kitchen? Give a surprise to yourself or your loved ones tonight… Its healthy and yummy!

Bahan :
– Lettuce
– Rump Steak
– Soy sauce, 1 teaspoon
– Fish Sauce, 1 tablespoon
– Dark Palm Sugar, 1 tablespoon
– Fresh chili
– Sesame Oil, 2 tablespoon
– Fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoon
– Fresh Ginger, 2 tablespoon
– Garlic, 1 pc
– Cherry Tomatoes
– Cucumber
– Fresh mint, 1 bunch
– Fresh Coriander, 1 bunch
– Thai Basil, 1 bunch
– Lime leaves, 4 pcs
– Toasted peanuts

Cara membuat:
– Masukkan kedalam bowl : Soy Sauce, Fish Sauce, Dark Palm Sugar, Sesame Oil, Fresh Lime juice, Fresh Ginger (air parutannya), crushed garlic, kemudian aduk hingga rata.
– Marinate Rump steak dengan 1/2 (setengah) salad dressing. Tutup dengan plastic wrap, kemudian diamkan didalam lemari es selama 2 jam.
– Setelah 2 jam, panaskan pan, setelah panas, masukkan daging yang sudah dimarinate. Masak hingga matang, kemudian letakkan diatas piring dan tutup dengan aluminum foil, diamkan selama 10 menit.
– Masukkan di salad bowl : Lettuce, chili, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber, Fresh mint, Fresh Coriander, Thai Basil, Lime lives, dan Roasted Peanuts.
– Iris Rump steak seperti persegi panjang dan masukkan kedalam salad bowl. Tuangkan sisa dressing dan aduk hingga rata.
– Hidangkan di atas piring ceper
